A 22-year-old unknown man was drowned at Sauble Beach on Tuesday.

The South Bruce OPP, fire, and EMS were called to the scene at about 3:45 pm when two people were reportedly distressed.

One person was brought to shore safely by bystanders.

The other person was also taken out of the water and performed lifesaving measures.

He was pronounced dead later on.
