A 57-year-old unknown man drowned at Grand Bend

A 57-year-old unknown man from London lost his life in Lake Huron while kayaking.

His unoccupied kayak was found on July 3 by Canadian Coast Guards near Sunview Avenue in Bluewater.

After that, an extensive search was conducted, but the man could not be found for a few days.

On July 9, the man’s body was recovered from the St. Joseph Beach area.

He was not wearing a life jacket, and this emphasizes how important it is for anyone going into the water with proper equipment, to come back safely to their loved ones.
