According to the authorities, a 44-year-old Indiana man, the father of two children drowned at Lake Michigan while trying to save his children. The children aged 17, and 12 were swept away by high waves but they were rescued by a St. Joseph reserve officer. Their father was also pulled away by later pronounced dead by the authorities.
