Alexander Fortis at Diversey Harbor

Alexander Fortis was 27 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near Diversey Harbor on Tuesday afternoon. He was there with a group of friends when he went underwater. His body was recovered about 3: 25pm from 2600 block of North Lake Shore Drive. He was immediately taken to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:20 pm.
