Ali Moufid & Othmane Kassou at 31st Street Beach

According to police, they pulled the bodies of two men from Lake Michigan near 31st Street Beach on Tuesday. Dozens of emergency responders and divers were called to the scene around 3:30 pm. The divers located the bodies quickly and bring them to the shore. They were then transported to Mercy Hospital in a very critical condition where they were pronounced dead. Witnesses told the police that one man went into the water after his bucket floated away and the other man who was assumed to be his brother-in-law went after him to rescue. But both the men died.
