Amari Donell Griffin-Brewer at Lake Michigan

Amari Donell was 16 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan. He was swimming with his friends near Zoo Beach when he was pulled under the water by a strong rip current. Medical Examiner Mike Payne said in his interview that Amari’s girlfriend who was swimming with him saw him go under the water and then resurface. After that, he went underwater again and never resurface. He was taken out by the first responder and pronounced dead later on.
