An elderly unknown man was drowned in Lake Erie

A grandfather was drowned in Lake Erie after his boat was capsized near Crystal Beach on Sunday. He was 85 years old. His teenage son was able to make it to the shore. The emergency crews received the call around 11:30 am that two boaters were in distress inside the water. The rescue helicopter was able to locate the body around 1:30 pm. The incident is under investigation.
