An unknown 10 year boy at Sterling State Park

A 10-year-old boy drowned in Lake Erie while swimming at Sterling State Park. He was swept away by the current. According to Sheriff Dale Malone, the incident happens just after 4 pm. The Sheriff’s department received a call that a child was in distress and struggling in the water. The department activated their dive team and Aviation Unit “Raptor” to search for the boy and rescue him. They located the boy after a short search and taken him directly to Promedica Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
