An Unknown man jumped from Crawford Wharf was drowned in Lake Ontario

An Unknown man lost his life after he jumped off the Crawford Wharf at the bottom of Brock Street and into the harbor. Witnesses watched him as he swam about 100 meters finally he became in distress.

A 24-year-old man who was walking with his parents jumped in to help him but he was also caught in the current. There are about 50 more people at the Staff party and two of them tried to help him while others call 911 for help.

They were able to save the 24-year-old boy but the other man in his 30 went inside the water and could not be found. His body was located by OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit around 6:44pm the next day.
