An Unknown man lost his life in Lake Erie near Colchester

A 56-year-old man drowned in Lake Erie near Colchester over the weekend. OPP Essex officers say that they received the call for a missing person on September 10. On investigation, it is revealed that the person was present on the beach with family when the family member couldn’t find him.

Officers said that they were directed along the shoreline near McCarthy Drive where the person was located inside the water. Life-saving measures were started, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police said that the death is not suspicious, but still they were investigating the drowning.
