Anthony Alexander at Headlands Beach State Park

Anthony Alexander a 17-year-old boy drowned at Headlands Beach State Park on Thursday night. He was swimming with his friend 20 to 25 feet away from the shoreline in water about 5 to 6 feet deep. He was reported missing at 7:09 pm. He was pulled to the shore by Park Ranger where he noticed that he was not breathing so he performed CPR before emergency services arrived. He was immediately taken to Lake East Medical Center in Painesville, where he was pronounced dead.
