Anthony Paul Diehl & an unknown 7 year old child died at North Beach Park

Anthony Paul and the 7-year-old child both lost their lives after they went underwater at North Beach Park. The incident happens around 7:30 pm when rescuers were called to the scene where several girls started struggling inside the water.

Some adults went inside the water to save them. Many of them came out safely but Diehl and the child went missing. The child’s body was washed ashore after 30 minutes from a different place from where he went underwater.

The Rescuers performed CPR but he did not survive. Diehl’s body was recovered the next day about 50 yards west of the south pier.
