Austin Gegel, a 23-year-old guy drowned in Lake Michigan while swimming with his family near the 3000 block of Oak Street in the village of Arcadia.

The incident was reported at 11:29 a.m. on July 5 when Austin lost consciousness while swimming with his family.

The emergency responders arrive quickly at the scene and perform life-saving efforts.

Austin was taken to Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His death was ruled as accidental drowning.
