Brandon Schmidt at Winds Nest Park

Brandon Schmidt a boy just 20 years old was drowned in Lake Michigan at Winds Nest Park in Port Sheldon Township. The initial report says that he was swimming with friends when he went underwater. Multiple people including Schmidt’s friends called 911 for help. The first responder located Brandon quickly and transported him to Holland Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
