Brittany Young at Nickel Plate Beach

Brittany Young was 29 years old when she was drowned in Lake Erie near Nickel Plate Beach while swimming. She was swimming with her husband and three children when she went underwater and didn’t resurface. Her husband tried to help her but she was gone before he was able to reach him. The waves at the time of the incident were three to five feet high. Her body was washed ashore on Thursday and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
