Bryan Jackson at 31st Street Beach

Bryan Jackson was 38 years old when he lost his life in Lake Michigan near 31st Street Beach.

Officials say that Bryan was on a 27-foot boat when he went swimming and had some trouble.

His friends who were with him on the boat told police that Bryan jumped into the water to swim north of 31st Street Beach and never returned.

The rescue teams started the recovery mission immediately but they could not find Bryan’s body for several days.

On September 12, his body was recovered from Promontory Point in Hyde Park.
