John Kueber was 65 years old when he was drowned in Lake Superior near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
John was last heard on September 22nd and was reported missing on Sep 29 after going kayaking.
He was believed to be on his orange-colored inflatable kayak.
After this information, the police started a thorough search, but he was not found anywhere.
His body was found on Nov. 8 by a group of hikers.
They immediately informed the police, and after DNA, it was confirmed that the body was of John.
No foul play was involved in his drowning.
John Nousaine was 70 years old when he lost his life doing scuba diving at Isle Royale National Park.
The incident happened around 1 pm when John dived towards the wreckage of the Emperor, a 525-foot steel bulk freighter that sank in 1947.
The wreckage was about 100-150 feet deep.
The divers on the private diving boat quickly reported the incident.
NPS and the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of John’s death, as there has been no incident in the past 10 years in that area.
The rescuers from the Marquette Police Department pulled the unknown woman from Lake Superior at McCarty’s Cove in Marquette.
She was 63 years old.
The woman was pulled by Marquette City lifeguards and given CPR, but all the efforts to revive her were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Donavon Vogel, a kid just 14 years old, lost his life in Lake Superior while swimming.
According to the press release, Donavon was swimming with his 15-year-old cousin when both of them were taken by an undertow current into the deeper water.
The 15-year-old was able to pull himself out of the deeper water but Donavon was pulled deeper into the water.
The waves were about 4–5 feet high at the time of the incident.
His body was found on Thursday afternoon.
Kevin Richard Hammila (53) & Nanette Marie (52) lost their lives in Lake Superior after their boat was capsized.
According to the report, 5 people were on the boat when it capsized near Second Sand Beach.
Three of them were saved by another boat present in the area while 2 persons went underwater.
Their bodies were found on Monday afternoon about 220 feet in depth of Lake Superior.
Their boat capsized during the Keweenaw Bay Classic Fishing Tournament on June 8.
They both were pronounced dead on the scene.
