Christopher Recznik at Lake Erie

Christopher Recznik was 20 years old when he was drowned in Lake Erie at Century Park in Lorain County. He was swimming with friends about 60 yards off the shore when he went underwater due to rip current. Jose Rivera who was having a cookout time with family tried to save Christopher after he heard him screaming for help and going underwater several times. He tried to reach to him but before he reached him Christopher went underwater for the last time. His body was found about 8:40 in the evening near the breakwall.
