Darien Clay at Tawas Point State Park

Darien Clay was 26 years old when his body was pulled from the water near Tawas Point State Park. He was there with his two friends when he went out in the water and stepped off a sandbar into the deeper water, so he became in distress there.

One of his friends tried to pull him over but was not successful, the other friend went into the water with lifeguard and found him face down. They bring him to the shore where emergency responders started their treatment. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and then flown to Ascension St. Mary’s where he was pronounced dead.
