Daryle Neal at Root River

Daryle Neal, a child just 14 years old was drowned in Lake Michigan near Root River. The initial investigation reveals that Neal was playing in the area where the Storm sewer drain. He went inside the water, caught in a strong rip current, and never resurface. The rescue fire department was called to the scene at about 3:45 pm. They pulled the boy out of the water and performed CPR but all efforts to revive him was failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
