Dennis Javens was 64 years old when his body was brought to the shores of Mackinaw City. According to the reports, Javens was swimming with friends on a private boat about 150 feet of water to the sunken vessel Cedarville when he ran out of air. It is believed that Javens made a dive using his reserve tank instead of the main tank. When he ran out of the air he switched to the reserve tank which was empty. He became unresponsive and his partner unable to bring him to the shore. He was underwater for about 20 minutes when the rescue members bring his body.
