Dominic Snovicky at Indiana Dunes State Park

A teenage boy of just 18 years was drowned in Lake Michigan near Indiana Dunes State Park. He was identified later as Dominic Snovicky of Plainfield. According to the official report, he went missing in the water at about 11 am and the emergency responders find him at about 12:30 pm. He was taken to Porter Regional Hospital in critical condition where he died later. The waves were 3 to 6 feet high at that time with a strong undercurrent.
