Edward Carl Lester was 64 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan while doing ice fishing near Big Bay de Noc. Lester’s wife contacted her neighbor when Lester failed to return home that day around 10 am. The neighbor with the help of binoculus saw a body floating in the water. He immediately called 911 and the rescue fighters came to the scene. They pulled Lester out of the body and the EMS present on the scene pronounced him dead. Lester died because there were cracks on the ice and his ORV sank in the water about 10 to 15 feet.
