Elise Malary at Garden Park in 500 block of Sheridan Square

Elise Malary was an active activist for transgender rights, who lost her life in Lake Michigan near Garden Park. She was just 31 years old when she disappeared on March 11 and after 6 days of struggle her body was washed ashore in Garden Park.

The result of the autopsy confirmed that her death is due to the drowning but the medical examiner was not sure if her death is accidental or not?

Investigators reveal that there is no sign of trauma on her body and the police investigation did not believe in any foul play.
