Eric Faulk Peterson was 82 years old when he drowned in Lake Michigan near Summit Township Park.

According to the report, the cries for help went out at about 3:07 p.m. when Eric was seen uncomfortable inside the water.

He was taken out with the help of a state police trooper who was present there at the scene.

He was given CPR but was pronounced dead at about 4 p.m.
