Evan “Alec” Johnson & Wayne Hoffman at Minnesota's North Shore

Wayne Hoffman and Alec Johnson both died in Lake Superior off Minnesota’s North Shore. It is reported that Evan Johnson who was 40 years old got out of a hot tub near Bluefin Bay Resort and went swimming. Hoffman was with his wife when he saw that Johnson was in trouble battling waves for 4-6 meters high. Hoffman went ahead to help when he was swept away by a large wave. Later Johnson was pulled from the water after half-hour and pronounced dead. Hoffman’s body was found about 400 yards away from shore.
