Gary Matney at lakeshore Reno Beach

Gary Matney was 40 years old when he was killed in a personal watercraft crash on Lake Erie at lakeshore Reno Beach. He died when two scooters collide in the lake and as a result, Gary was thrown in the water. The incident happens around 7:26 pm about a half-mile northwest of the Anchor Pointe Marina. His friend traveled at high speed and reach Gary to rescue him but he died before.
