George Seier at Harbor Springs

George Seier died while swimming in Lake Michigan near Harbor Springs on Saturday. He was 71 years old. He was drowned while attempting to Moore his sailboat when his Moore dingy got loose and began to drift away.  Seier tried to jump into the water to retrieve his dingy when he drowned himself in 10 feet of water. His body was recovered by the Marine patrol and dive team.
