George Wendt

George Wendt was a legendary Chicago Swimmer when he lost his life due to accidental drowning at the age of 73. He was drowned on September 11 during the 30th annual Big Shoulders Open Water Classic. Wendt was found unresponsive at about 9 am inside the water. He was immediately taken to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His death was ruled as accidental drowning.
