Gonzola Silva at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore

Gonzola Silva was 37 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. According to Ken Mehne, the spokesman for the National park said that Silva was swimming off Lakeview beach near Beverly Shores when family members saw him struggling. Some family members tried to save him but they themselves caught in the current and pulled to the shore. Rescuers found Gonzola body in the surf about 10 feet from shore.
