Isaac Coombs at Penetanguishene’s Huronia Park

Isaac Coombs, a child just 12 years old, lost his life while swimming at Penetanguishene’s Huronia Park.

An emergency call was received by 911 on Sunday noon about a boy who was lost while swimming.

The rescue fighters from Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers and marine unit immediately began to search the water, but Isaac could not be found anywhere.

Around 7:15 pm, the members of OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit found the body of Isaac.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
