Isaiah Barnes & Jesus Del Valle Rodriquez at Lakeview Beach

A 14-year-old (Isaiah Barnes) and a 20-year-old (Jesus Del Valle Rodriquez) both lost their lives in a drowning incident at Lakeview Beach. The Lorain County Metro Parks’ (LCMP) Rangers were called to the scene at about 6:15 pm after it is reported that a teen enters the water and didn’t resurface.

Authorities say that a man went after him to help the teen and he also didn’t resurface. The body of Isaiah Barnes was recovered around 9:30 pm by the Lorain dive team. He was immediately taken to a Local hospital in an ambulance where he was pronounced dead.

Rodriquez’s body was recovered the next day around 9:50 am. Both deaths were ruled as Drowning.
