Jacob McCormick was 21 years old when he was drowned in Lake Ontario at the Point Breeze area. Jacob had a twin brother Nathaniel and both of them do everything together. On labor day both brothers visit their grandparents, and they make a plan for doing kayaking with their friend Joseph Williams who lived nearby.
The grandparents said that the two boys went out at 10:30 am and they only plan to go for few hours but when they did not return till 3:30 they started worried. At 5:30 the news of extreme weather started to come and they contacted the Somerset Police Department and rescue agencies to started searching for them.
Nathaniel and William make it to the shore just after 6 am in morning. But Jacob was not found until 8:50 am. His body was found about a half-mile from shore also in the Point Breeze area.
