Jakub Hess at Conneaut Township Park Beach

Jakub Hess was 16 years old when he was drowned in Lake Erie at Conneaut Township Park Beach. Hess was swimming at the beach with the juvenile family on Sunday when he started to struggle. He shouted that he can’t make it to the shore. His stepbrother tried to save him but when Hess went underwater he called 911 to help. Divers tried to find Hess on Sunday and also on Monday but unfavorable conditions make it hard for them. Finally, they found his body about 8 feet of water close to the location he was last seen.
