James Vanden Elzen

James Vanden Elzen was 60 years old when he drowned in Lake Erie after his boat capsized. James’ boat capsized near Port Clinton and he was rescued from the water within 5 minutes of drowning.

He was then taken to Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton and then transferred to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center where he was pronounced dead later on. An autopsy was scheduled on Thursday to find out the exact cause of the drowning.
