JC Lindsey at Winthrop Harbor

JC Lindsey was just 18 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near Illinois Beach State Park at Winthrop Harbor. The rescue fire department called at the scene at about 12:15 pm when Lindsey went underwater while swimming and didn’t resurface. The officials located Lindsey about 5 to 10 feet inside the water. They pulled him out and performed CPR but no signs of life were seen. He was then taken to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan where he was pronounced dead.
