John Swanson at South Shore Park

John Swanson was 61 years old when he drowned in Lake Michigan in  South Shore Park near Nock and Iron.

John was an EMT in Bell Ambulance and he lost his life in a tragic accident when he fell off from his boat and never resurfaced.

The Milwaukee Fire Department, Police Department, and County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call when a person heard a splash in the water and found a floating hat.

The call was made around 10:40 pm and at about 11 pm the police were able to locate the man, give him treatment at the scene, and transfer him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

John has been a member of Bell Ambulance since 2007.
