Juan Cornelia at Montrose Harbor

Juan Cornelia was 24 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near Montrose Harbor. According to the reports, the rescue crew responded to a call that two swimmers were in distress inside water near the 500 blocks of West Montrose about 6 p.m. The other man is 23 years old and divers pulled Juan out of the water while the other swimmer makes it back to the shore himself. Both men were taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital where Juan was pronounced dead while the other man’s condition was stabilized.
