Kenneth Phillips at Pigeon Lake

Kenneth Phillips was 60 years old when he was doing body surfing with his brother on Lake Michigan and drowned. Phillips and his brother were doing body surfing in about 5 feet high waves when Phillips starts to struggle. His brother tried to swim back to him and tried to get both of them to the shore but the rip current and high waves make it difficult for him. The sheriff’s dive team responded to a call and found Kenneth in a short time but unable to revive him and pronounced him dead at the scene.
