Kevin Patrick Schlake at Peterson Beach

Kevin Patrick a man in his ’40s was swimming with his brother-in-law and 2 nephews when he found that they were caught in a rip current. The brother-in-law was able to throw one nephew out of the current but the other nephew went inside water. Kevin was able to pull that nephew out of the water before he himself went inside it. His body was found by rescue members about 5 feet of water. He was immediately taken to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
