K’Mari Mack, a teen just 14 years old lost his life in Lake Michigan while swimming.

Officials said that they received a call just after 9 p.m. about a person who went swimming near 31st Street Beach and never resurfaced.

The teen apparently seemed to be in distress before going underwater.

The dive team rescued him from the water and transported him to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
