The bodies of two teenagers who were disappeared in the rough waters of Lake Ontario were recovered by the authorities on the eastern side of Lake Ontario. The victims were identified as cousins 18-year-old Lorenz and 14-year-old Andrew.
Emergency crew responded to a report about 3:30 pm that two teens were in distress inside the water at Robert Wehle State Park. They were about 90 feet offshore and struggle to keep their heads high in 5 feet waves. A teenage girl jumped in to try to save them but the undertow was so strong that she herself started to struggle.
She was saved by some people on the shore but the two boys went under. The rescue guards search for the victims for about a day and night before they were located. The bodies were then taken to Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of the death.
