Lorenzo Tobin at 31st Street Harbor

Lorenzo Tobin was 40 years old when he lost his life in Lake Michigan near 31st Street Harbor.

The US Coast Guard says that they received the call around 7:30 pm about a 25-foot double-decker pleasure yacht capsized and sinking in the water.

There were 16 people on the boat celebrating someone’s birthday at the time of the incident.

The rescuers took 3 people out of the water and transported them to the hospital. All are in good condition and all other people are also saved.

Lorenzo was also present on the boat as a deckhand, and he saved many people from drowning.

Lorenzo’s family couldn’t believe that he was drowned because he was a professional swimmer.

An investigation is underway about this incident that why the boat capsized.
