Louis Barba at Lake Erie

Louis Barba a teenager of age 16 drowned in Lake Erie at Sterling State Park just northeast of Monroe. According to reports he was playing with the ball with several other friends when the wind blows his bowl away at 12:30 pm. Barba tried to retrieve the ball which has floated in the deeper water and witnesses say that they have seen him struggling with the water before going underwater. The US Coast guard station receives the report of a missing swimmer at 1 pm and immediately sent a search-and-rescue boat and a helicopter to the scene. The water in the state park is 2-10 feet deep Barba body was discovered in 10-foot deep water. He was pronounced dead at 2:30 pm.
