Mark Gaff at Washington Park Beach

Mark Gaff was 48 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near Washington Park Beach. He was rescued from the water on August 27 and transported to Franciscan Health Michigan City in critical condition. He lost his life after three days of struggle on August 30. An investigation is going on of what had happened as the water conditions were calm on that day and no sign of danger was posted.
