Markius Woods at 31st Street Beach

Markius Woods was 32 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near 31st Street Beach on the south side. Rescue members receive the emergency call that two swimmers were in distress. They taken out the men from the water and immediately transported them to Mercy Hospital and Medical Centre where Markius was pronounced dead while the other man condition is stabilized.
