Matt Kocher at New Buffalo, MI

Matt Kocher a teen just 15 years old drowned in Lake Michigan at New Buffalo. Around 3:30 pm the authorities receive a call that a swimmer was in distress on New Buffalo city beach. The teen was rescued by a lifeguard who started performing CPR immediately. He was transported to Saint Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, Ind., and later to the University of Chicago Hospital for further treatment, but pronounced dead at University of Chicago Hospital.
