Michael Hooffstetter was just 19 years old when he lost his life in Lake Michigan while swimming with friends near Pere Marquette Beach. Michael was swimming with friends when he was overwhelmed by huge waves and currents. The nearby people and beachgoers tried to help him but they were not successful. His body was recovered on Monday morning.
