Nathan Jon Marcus at Tunnel Park

Nathan Jon Marcus was just 23 years old when he was drowned in Lake Michigan near Tunnel Park. The incident was reported around 3:11 pm near Lakeshore Drive and Quincy Street, north of the park.

According to the reports, Marcus was riding his personal watercraft about 150 yards from the shore when he leans forward and fell into the water. The Sheriff Marine unit saw Marcus face down in the water so he went inside and bring him to the shore.

He was taken to Holland Hospital where he died later.
