Noah Grow was just 12 years old when he was drowned in Lake Superior near Big Traverse Beach while trying to save her sister. At about 2:33 pm the deputies were called to the scene that 4 people were drowning in Lake Superior.
An eight-year-old girl was swept away by the current and to save her 4 more people went after her but they all caught in the current. The mother yelled for help and several other people jumped in and save all of them and bring them to the shore.
The first responder started CPR on the boy and then he was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital’s Emergency Room. He was later airlifted to U of M Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor where he lost his life.
